The root cause and solution of motor overheating of winding machine
In all normal operation, the motor overtemperature is caused by the following aspects: the working voltage is too high or too low, the load, the cooling exhaust air volume is not enough, and the motor itself is often faulty.
The over-temperature of the winding motor caused by too high or too low power supply voltage of automatic winding machine is very rare, but the over-temperature of the motor caused by the common faults of the motor itself can be checked and distinguished according to the change of running current and motor protection equipment. It is common that the motor overtemperature is caused by insufficient cooling and exhaust air. Wound-wound motor-driven cold air is caused by the rotation of the motor accompanied by the cooling fan installed on the motor shaft, and it is blown to the motor according to the wind pipe at the top of the motor housing, thus achieving the purpose of cooling the motor. Because of the relativity of smoke and dust on the spot in the production and manufacture of fly ash powder, it is very easy to cause air duct blockage after years of operation. Therefore, the ventilation duct of the winding machine should be washed and cleaned on time.

The key difference between a winding machine and a squirrel-cage motor is that the three terminal wires of the rotor winding of the winding machine are connected to three copper or steel slip rings installed on the rotating shaft and connected to an external circuit through brushes. This unique structure of the winding machine leads to the burning of the collector ring and the flame jumping of the brush. Generally speaking, the reasons for this situation are: the running-in period between brushes and slip rings is not very good, the brushes can not contact the surface of slip rings in all directions, the brush and brush box are not well matched (too loose or too tight), the brush pressure is not suitable, the number of brushes is unscientific, and the slip rings are oval.
If the total contact area between the brush and the surface of the collector ring is less than 70% in the fully automatic winding machine, the brush with good contact surface will flow through a large amount of electricity and generate a large amount of heat, which will easily lead to the burning of the brush pigtails, thus further aggravating the load of other brushes, and in serious cases, it will burn the whole-phase brush and damage the slip ring. Therefore, in the daily maintenance of winding machine, special attention should be paid to whether the total contact area between brush and collector ring is intact. When the production batch numbers of applied brushes are different, it is very likely that the brushes and slip rings will be damaged due to the differences in brush composition, so the same production batch number should be used as far as possible when replacing brushes.
