Three working principles of Mr Damping devices:

The magnetic flow variants suitable for fabrication of magnetorheological damping devices shall have the following characteristics:

The yield stress is higher under the action of magnetic field. It has a low viscosity at zero field. Wide operating temperature range; Long-term sedimentation stability and condensation stability; Good chemical stability; Short response time; No chemical interaction with the sealing element. Mr Can be made into a variety of damping devices, its working principle has the following three forms.

1. Pressure driven mode is the most widely used working mode at present. The principle is that the magnetic flow variant passes through the fixed magnetic pole under the action of pressure, and the flow direction of the magnetic flow variant is perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic field. The damping force of the Mr Damper can be controlled by changing the current of the excitation coil. The system can be used for servo control valves, dampers and shock absorbers.

2. In shear mode, the magnetic flow variant passes the controllable magnetic field under the action of the movable magnetic pole, and the direction of the magnetic pole movement is perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic field. This system can be used in clutches, brakes, locking devices, dampers and other magnetorheological devices.

3. In extrusion mode, the magnetic pole moves in the same direction as the magnetic field, and the magnetic flow variant flows around under the action of the magnetic pole pressure, and the magnetic field direction is perpendicular to the flow direction of the magnetic flow variant. The displacement of magnetic pole is small, and the damping force of magnetic flow variant is large, which can be applied to the magnetorheological damper with small displacement and large damping.
