Processing precautions for zirconia ceramic plate and alumina ceramic plate
Zirconia ceramic plates, high alumina ceramic plates, and other ceramic plates are mainly made of materials such as aluminum oxide (Al2O3) and zirconia (ZrO2). Our ceramic factory has excellent processing equipment and strong technical strength. The purchased ceramic materials have high mechanical strength, good smoothness, good thermal stability and chemical properties, high insulation strength, and excellent electrical properties, ensuring the application performance of the materials. Next, we will introduce the processing requirements for zirconia and alumina ceramic plates.
Processing requirements for zirconia ceramic plates:
1. Shape polishing: This step depends on the selected machining program.
A. Pay attention to the distance traveled by the needle per unit time, not too fast.
B. Replace the needle in a timely manner.
2. Thickness of work support: The thickness of the support before sintering should be at least 0.7mm. After sintering, it should not be less than 0.4mm.
3. Sintering: Before sintering, the debris generated during polishing on the support should be cleaned up. After sintering, the size of the bracket will shrink by 25%. Therefore, it is necessary to use a matching sintering furnace (with a temperature of up to 1600 ℃).
Sintering program
● Start indoor temperature
Heating rate: 8 ℃/min
End temperature: 1480 ℃
● Holding time: 120min
Cooling rate: 8 ℃/min (adjustable)
● Furnace opening: 300 ℃
It must be noted that there should be sufficient sintering workspace during processing to prevent deformation. When necessary (for larger long bridges), sintering should be carried out as a whole, and after sintering, each support point should be cut off. After sintering, this material can achieve the required physical properties, such as a maximum strength of approximately 1200MPa.
Zirconia material has high strength, and if any fracture is found, it is basically a problem during turning.
Precautions:
Debris generated during the grinding process of partially sintered zirconia ceramic billets should be promptly cleaned, and processing personnel should wear dust masks.
