Let's go ahead.

Among the drying methods of zirconia ceramic powder, solvent displacement drying method and spray drying method are also more important. One kind of powder has excellent sintering performance, and the other kind of powder is pure. Now Kezhong Ceramics Factory will introduce it to you.

Solvent displacement drying method: The solvent displacement drying method involves mixing a colloid with an alkoxy organic solvent under strong mechanical stirring. The organic solvent and the water in the colloid undergo displacement, and the resulting suspension is subjected to azeotropic distillation treatment. This way, the water in the colloid is removed in the form of an azeotropic substance. When the water molecules in the colloid are completely removed, the temperature is raised to above the boiling point of the organic substance to evaporate the organic substance, which ends the drying process.

During the process, alcohols replaced the coordination water molecules on the surface of the colloidal particles, and alkoxy group replaced the non bridging hydroxyl group on the surface of the particles, eliminating the chemical bond caused by hydrogen bonding, so that the agglomeration was controlled. This method can effectively dehydrate the colloids formed by wet chemical methods and produce extremely loose ZrO2 powder, which has excellent sintering performance

Spray drying method spray drying method is to prepare a slurry with a certain solid content from the sediment after filtration and washing treatment, spray it into a mist under a certain pressure and contact with the high-temperature heat source, so that the water in the slurry is rapidly heated and evaporated, so that the sediment can be dried. The spray drying method is easy to realize continuous production, but it requires special equipment (such as spray dryer), high requirements for operating conditions and process control, and subsequent processes such as particle collection and waste gas treatment.

Powder preparation and drying have always been the most important and fundamental step in processing ceramic products. If there is no purer powder, the quality of the obtained ceramic products is also not high.
