Extraction method of zirconia ceramic raw material---hydrolysis method

(1) Alcohol hydrolysis method This method is a method of hydrolyzing an alkoxide mixed with zirconium and a stabilizer in an organic solution. This method can produce fine and high-purity powder that is easy to sinter. Zr(OR) and (R is an alkyl group) are generally soluble in ethanol, and are easily decomposed into ethanol and oxides or cohydrates when exposed to water. Use zirconium isopropoxide Zr(OCH2) and Y(NO)2· 6H2O to synthesize cubic ZrO2 by hydrolysis. The particle size of the powder prepared by the best process is less than 100nm, the specific surface area reaches 100m2·g-1, sintered at 1400℃, and the density reaches 99% of theoretical density. It was found that the aging time, temperature and water concentration of the alkoxide solution had a significant impact on the morphology of the powder.

(2) The basic principle of preparing ZrO2 by hydrothermal method is: the solubility of hydroxide in water under high temperature and high pressure is greater than that under normal temperature and normal pressure, so the hydroxide is dissolved in water and zirconia is precipitated at the same time. The hydrothermal method directly generates ZrO2 from the solution, avoiding the steps of high-temperature combustion and ball milling that may form hard agglomerates and mix impurities in the general wet chemical method. By controlling a series of complex reactions, the particle size, composition, and in some cases, the particle shape can be controlled, and the crystal grains in the synthesized powder are fully developed and the degree of agglomeration is very low.
The hydrothermal method is more widely used in the field of functional ceramics due to its special excellent performance, such as piezoelectric ceramics PZT, oxygen sensing ceramics FSZ, Batic2 ceramics, etc. It is the main method for the production of high-tech precision ceramic powders in the future. At the same time, because of its relatively simple process, it has been put into industrial production.
(3) Sol-sol-emulsification-gel method This method is to put the sol containing Zr+ into the emulsified liquid containing organic dispersant to disperse, age and stabilize, and then gel the sol, and the gel is baked. Dry and roast to obtain ZrO2 powder.
